The Wee Thumbie, is the first pacifier designed expressly for use by very low birth weight is modeled after the size and shape of the preemie thumb, facilitating the important sucking behaviors normally learned in utero. The notched area allows space for CPAP tubing, mechanical ventilation, or tube feeding. The uniquely-shaped nipple of the Wee Thumbie helps to keep the pacifier in the baby's mouth.
