VINTAGE 1927-1945 ABILENE TEXAS HILTON HOTEL (now the WINDSOR) KEY CHAIN FOB

Description

This is a heavy metal key chain fob. One side is embossed: "HILTON HOTEL...ABILENE, TEX." The other side reads; "IF CARRIED AWAY DROP IN ANY MAIL BOX...WE GUARANTEE POSTAGE." The room number, "606" is impressed in the center. In small print, the bottom is marked: "W.W. WILCOX MFG. CO. CHICAGO." It measures about 2 inches wide. The Abilene Hilton Hotel was built in 1927, it was leased by Conrad Hilton and was one of the very first hotels to bear his name. In 1945, Hilton's lease expired, and it was re-named "The WINDSOR." (Obviously, this was made between 1927 and 1945.) The condition is FAIR, with some scratches and scuffs. This is made of copper with (what I believe is) a nickel surface plate. There is wear to the nickel, exposing the copper beneath. It still displays nicely, and is guaranteed to be old & original, or your money back.
