Replace in Time:The bearing is a design wear point on the dryer. The bearing needs to be replaced at about 2,000 load positions, or every three years. This part is relatively easy to install-due to the different angles of the fixed part, and it must be bent to enter the drying Machine to remove old parts/install new parts.You can view related videos on Youtube during installation, which will help you install.

Tools to be Used: 1. Phillips screw driver 2.22mm extra thin walled deep socket (7/8" socket will work fine, that's what we used) 3.3) 5mm Allen wrench. Noteyou will still need to grind the wall thickness down a couple of hundredths and about a half inch deep to get the bearing bolt loose.
About installation: Use deep-well 7/8" socket (3/8" drive), and took a grinder to the outside of the socket to make it a very thin-wall. Then it would fit in from the dryer drum side after the bearing was removed. You have to "push" the outside wall of the dryer to get the blind carriage bolt to grab while re-attaching the new shaft. Once it grabs, you can tighten easily with your ratchet and 7/8" socket.
