    Description

    Up for auction is an ashtray or shallow bowl made for the Deauville Hotel in Miami Beach, Florida, by Royal China of Sebring, Ohio. It was likely made in the late 1950s or 1960s when this mid-century modern hotel was frequented by celebrities like Frank Sinatra and the Beatles. The ashtray features the Deauville Hotel logo and is marked "ROYAL CHINA / INC. / MADE IN U.S.A / UNDERGLAZE" on its underside. It is free from chips, cracks or other damage and measures approximately 6 1/4 inches in diameter.
