    Description

    Here is a gorgeous
    4 color
    spongeware / stick spatterware divided dinner plate. It is marked with the
    SPHINX
    mark of
    PETRUS REGOUT MAASTRICHT, MADE IN HOLLAND.
    The outer rim is sponge decorated in red. Yellow lines enclose the decoration of hand-painted flares of blue and yellow with green foliage and small blue cut sponge flowers in between.
    This is a very heavy piece, weighing in at 2 lbs. and it is 10" in diameter. I believe it would date to 1890-1914. There are a few manufacturing flaws but no damage of any kind.
    A clean and colorful plate for any spatter collection.
