    Description

ROZENBURG DEN HAAG 17.75" CHARGER WITH DANDELION BLOSSOMS d1894 GREAT COLORS!
This Rozenburg Den Haag wall charger measures 2.25" high by 17.75" in diameter.  The Rozenburg factory, located in the southern part of the Netherlands, is known for its production of porcelain and pottery in the Art Nouveau style, adopting the curvilinear forms and stylized decorative motifs fashionable throughout Europe in the late 1880s-1910s.  This charger has a classic large round form, with hand painted Dandelion blossoms and ribbons.  The artwork is beautifully executed, and the colors are rich and vibrant on this charger, which is over 120 years old.  This charger, made by Rozenburg, dates to 1894 based on its date mark 'L'.  We are not sure what the numbers '92' represent, perhaps it is from 1892, not 1894.  It is well marked in slip on the backside, with the stork mark and name.  This charger is in excellent condition, with an old restoration to the rim edge, which presents very well.  If you are a fan of Rozenburg earthenware and pottery, or chargers, this is a stellar example of the period.  The shipping fees reflect the cost to safely ship this charger across the country.  if there is a significant difference in cost, we will gladly issue a partial refund of the shipping fees.  If you are outside the USA please ask for a shipping quote.
