    Description

    Here's an auction for a very rare Petrus Regout & Co. Dutch cobalt blue transferware plate titled "AGRA," depicting an ancient Indian temple.  It measures 9 1/4" across.  In her 1992 book
    Drukdecors op Maastrichts aardewerk 1850-1900, Lochem: Antiek
    , Marie-Rose Bogaers writes that this plate was produced between 1899 and 1932 and the artist who designed it was either John Johnson or Henry Toft.  This plate is in near mint condition with no chips, cracks or crazing, excellent gloss and no utensil marks in the center of the plate.  Winner to include shipping cost.
