All of the art work and collectibles being sold by Adams-Byrd Fine Art & Antiques have been collected and selected one at a time by the proprietor, an art historian with many years of training and experience in university art history departments, museums, galleries, and historic sites both in the U.S. and abroad.  The business has been based in the Washington, D.C. area for many years.   The art and collectibles that we are offering to eBay buyers are special and unique pieces that have been carefully “curated” by us.
This cup is impressed "Schoonhoven Holland" while the other cup and saucer set we have only has the handpainted "Made in Holland."
A great teal and gray glaze effect that would complement a mid century modern or vintage coffee service.  See our auction for the other cup and saucer if you would like the pair of cups and saucers - shipping can be combined for multiple auctions (await invoice before paying).  This teal glaze also coordinates well with teal enamelware.
Please note: Based on online research (of the few modern - and not traditional Gouda - pieces available), we have found the design of the pitcher we have in this glaze attributed to Frans van Katwijk, ca. 1935.  The large pitcher we compared our small pitcher to was sold by an auction house in Amsterdam in 2010 and was in a black glaze.  After a very successful career with Plateelbakkerij Schoonhoven, Frans van Katwijk started his own workshop in Gouda in 1946.
All items we sell are from a pet free and smoke free environment – unless prior owner history is noted above.

Returns

Payment
: For auction items, payment is expected within 3 days of purchase.
After 4 days, an unpaid item case may be opened with eBay so that the item can be relisted or second chance offers may be made to other bidders.
We require immediate payment for Buy it Now items.
Shipping
: We aim to ship within 3 business days of receiving payment, however delays may occur – in the event of a delay, we will update you on the progress of your shipment.  We always ship with delivery confirmation / tracking.
