Up for auction is a
Very Nice RARE
ANTIQUE TALK-O-PHONE PHONOGRAPH DISC PLAYER "ENNIS".   It's a very nice barn find that will need some TLC to make it work as designed.   It plays loud and clear but the reproducer doesn't look to have been rebuilt.   It will not start on it's own.....the turntable will need a nudge.........and sometimes it gets bound while trying to start it, requiring a jiggle.   The slotted crank is missing one side of the slot......it still works but I hold my breath every time I wind it.   While cranking, it seems that the spring barrel may be rubbing the bottom of the case, forcing a little lift and sideways movement of the lid.
The speed control seems to work properly but if it runs too fast, i believe that I hear the governor weights hitting something.
It would be best if the new owner has some antique phonograph repair experience.   It needs some tinkering to make it work as designed.  Record not included.
