    Description

    A hand thrown stoneware bowl by mid-century Dutch studio potter Meindert Zaalberg (1907-1989). A circa 1950 minimalist design with a simple incised spiral at its center, the heavy incurved walls of the gray/green stoneware give it a great deal of presence. It measures 10 inches in diameter, 2 5/8 inches in height and is marked with impressed stamp "Zaalberg Holland" on the underside. Aside from vestiges of old glue and felt fuzz to the foot, the condition is excellent.
