How to use:
1) Just place on top of can (you do not need to align anything precisely).
2) Important to press and continue to hold the button down.
3) Hold the opener in your hand while pressing the button and allow the can to turn under the opener (or alternatively gently hold the opener as it goes around the stationary can) until you have gone just past a full circle.  You need to hold the opener the entire time - do not try to let the opener go around the can by itself.
4) Now lift the can opener up and the lid should stay attached to the can opener.
5) Remove the lid from the opener by gently pulling the lid from the opener while pressing the opener button to have it to turn the gears.
It takes a few times to get the hang of it, but rest assured you will get the hang of it after the first few cans you open with this opener. Then once you have the hang of it, it is very easy to quickly open cans.
