    Gaye Stewart Autographed 3X5 Index Card Toronto Maple Leafs (1942-43)

    Gaye Stewart spent a decade in the NHL, skating with the Maple Leafs, Black Hawks, Red Wings, Rangers and Canadiens.  He won the Calder Trophy as Rookie of the Year in '42-'43.  After two seasons serving in the military, he returned to the Leafs in 1945-46 and led the league in scoring with 37 goals.  His career totals were 185 goals in 502 games, and he netted a pair of scores in 27 playoff games.  He was on two of Toronto's Stanley Cup Champion teams - 1942 and 1947.
    I am listing a number of old time hockey players' autographs that have been part of my collection since 1970.  I purchased them from a collector who had gotten most of them in the 1940's and 1950's and many of the players signed when they were still playing minor league hockey before making it to the NHL.
