Completely Charming Vintage Rate Card: Lob’s Wood Hotel, Surrey, England 1940’s
We just recently acquired this utterly charming card from Lob’s Wood Hotel, which was near Farnham in Surrey, England.
It must date from the 1940
’
s because it mentions that guests on long stays must provide ration books.
Someone hs written on the front:
”
This is the place we wre tellng you about.
”
There is a smudge on the second word which can be seen in the scan.
The foldover card measures 4 inches high by 5 inches wide. We show scans of the front, the back and both sides when opened up. On the back is a map.
It is printed in green ink on card stock. It has tanned slightly from age. There is a tiny, tiny split on the right edge about
½
inch from the bottom.
