    Description

    Rare, vintage collectible piece from the maker of the 'gun that won the West' - the Colt six-shooter. This vintage stock certificate is absolutely authentic, NOT a reproduction. As many of you already know, paper stock and bond certificates have for the most part gone away in favor of electronic 'book-entry' stock ownership. Physical certificates have become very collectible - as the available supply is now nearly finite - and are an important part of Wall Street history.
    History:
    Colt's earliest designs played a major role in the popularization of the revolver and the shift away from earlier single-shot pistols. Although Samuel Colt did not invent the revolver concept, his designs resulted in the first very successful ones.
