    Description

For bid is an original circa 1956 or 1957 Las Vegas, Nevada "Las Vegas News Bureau" publicity photograph of the legendary "EL RANCHO VEGAS" hotel, resort, casino and saloon as it looked in the mid-1950's.  Poto shows the entrance to the hotel with a circa 1956 Buick convertible parked in front and having backage removed from the trunk.  A Jaguar spotscar is driving by and a circa 1956 Ford is in the lower left corner.  A sign above the entryway advertises the Opera House, Casino, Theater, restaurant and saloon at El Rancho (on the Las Vegas "Strip.")
This hotel was opened in 1941.  Photographers for the LV News Bureau were Don English, Joe Buck and Jerry Abbott.  This image was numbered 6182.
It's a terrific, professional photograph of one of the pioneer casinos in Las Vegas tourism history.  Photo is really territic!
There is a yellow stain to the sky just right of center.  It does not affect the image of the building in any way...
