The Avalokitesvara, the left attendant of the Buddha Amitabha,is one of the triumvirate sants in Wester Pure Land.
The Great Mercy and Compassion are the virtues of Avalokitesvara. If sufferers chant his name, they will be saved from suffering by way of his many emanations. Avalokitevara is worshipped very devoutly in Tibetan Buddhism and the Sixe Syllables of Truth" Om Mani Padma Hum" in Tibetan are in Praise of him.
He is centrally located, peaceful in appearance. The primary hands are clasped at the heart holding a wishing jewel, and the remaining six arms radiating around him.
