Description
Set of two paper coasters from The Mint Casino and Hotel in Downtown Las Vegas. Each is about 3.25 inches across. The Mint opened at 100 Fremont Street in 1957. In 1965, its hotel tower, at 25 floors, was the second tallest building in Las Vegas. It was acquired by Binion's Horseshoe and closed in 1988, being converted into Binion's Hotel. Binion's Hotel closed in 2009.The Mint was the setting for Hunter S. Thompson's "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas." It was also featured in the 1964 movie "Viva Las Vegas" and the 1971 Bond film "Diamonds Are Forever." Shortly before its closure, The Mint was filmed in the U2 music video for "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For."
I have five sets of two coasters available. I'm happy to combine shipping if you purchase more than one set at a time.
