1887 Cincinnati Union Stock Yard Company Stock Certificate
Formed in 1871 as a consolidation of several other Cincinnati stock yard companies, the huge property was a small city by itself. In addition to the hog, sheep and cattle pens, the company property had a hotel, bank, newspaper office, radio and telegraph stations as well as the headquarters of the Cincinnati Live Stock Exchange. Great vignettes! 25 shares issued to Theodore Sengstak on Dec. 6, 1887.
